I purchased Himalayan side panel stickers to go in the Himalayan indentations on the side panels of the bike. I also bought a sticker of the Himalayan Mountains to go below it on each side. The stickers were ordered along with panniers from Hitchcock’s Motorcycles in the UK. The stickers purchased are the side panel “HIMALAYAN” stickers and the Himalayan Mountains stickers.
Adding the Himalayan Side Panel Stickers
The stickers aren’t perfect, which can be seen in this picture. Some don’t fit and are slightly folded at the edges of the plastic indentations.
My wife spent about 45 minutes or so to put all the stickers on the side panels. She put each little sticker for the word “HIMALAYAN” into each indentation (which didn’t line up well, as I already mentioned). Then she added the mountains as evenly as she could. It might take someone else less time to pu these stickers on the side panels. My wife is very particular when it comes to things like this, a bit of a perfectionist. She said it was quite the pain to get things lined up properly, especially since the stickers didn’t perfectly match up with the indentations.
We may end up cutting off the pieces of the Himalayan decal that don’t quite fit with an exacto knife. A bit annoying, but will be worth it if we think they might peel or get dirt underneath them in the future. From other Royal Enfield Himalayans I’ve seen that also have stickers, they seem to last a long time. That, or everyone is replacing them every so often to keep them fresh. Guess I’ll find out after a few months of riding with them on, ha!
I’m happy with the way the stickers look. I think white stickers would have been cool, definitely would have popped more than the gray. But they still look really nice and the color does actually pop in the sun. For something super cheap (about $10), this was definitely worth it for the way it looks.
