Moto camping in and around the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southern Virginia is amazing! There are so many different camp spots, some with phenomenal views of the mountains.

Campsites usually get super crowded in the summer months. However, from late fall to really early spring, they can be empty most of the time. My first moto camping trip was in the winter with below freezing temperatures. I look forward to camping in all seasons and seeing what gear works (or doesn’t) based on the season and outside temp.

For overnight trips, the gear on the bike is plentiful and makes the bike much heavier. As I camp more and learn more about the different equipment that’s out there, I will continually try to lighten my load for overnights!
